How do I get there safely?
The Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel is located in the Oetz Valley, in the South Eastern part of the federal province of Tyrol. Obergurgl is located at an altitude of 1,930 meters above sea level, in the midst of an outstanding hiking and skiing region in the heart of the Austrian Alps. You can reach Obergurgl either on Austria’s roads or from South Tyrol in Italy.
You don’t need to worry that the Alpine roads will be too much of a challenge for you. All streets can be mastered comfortably by any kind of driver. Only on very rare occasions do road conditions turn difficult in winter. In case of a snow storm, you should put snow chains on your tires. We will be happy to inform you about current road conditions by phone.
We will also be glad to arrange a shuttle service from the Innsbruck, Zurich, Munich and Salzburg airports and from the railway stations in Innsbruck or the Oetz Valley. Just tell us your flight number, date and time of arrival and the airport or railway station so we can make arrangements for your pick-up.
