The history of Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl dates back to 1889 when great-grandfather Martin Scheiber, a true pioneer, built a small, but sturdy inn. Over the years, this inn turned into the biggest hotel in Obergurgl, the popular winter resort in the Tyrolean Alps. A large number of guests have made the E&G a home away from home because of its unique location directly adjacent to the ski lifts, and its excellent service.
