Gault Millau: 1 toque

The Gault Millau toques are an unmistakeable symbol of good food and fine cooking. In 2012 the renowned restaurant guide awarded our restaurant, led by head chef Alfred Renn, one of these much sought-after "chef's hats".

Finest ingredients and cooking are required in order to receive such a high honour in the world of dining – a challenge that the kitchen team at the Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl has risen to with aplomb.

For Alfred Renn and his team the next goal is to earn a second toque!

Schlemmeratlas: 2 spoons

The Deutscher Schlemmeratlas, one of Germany's most renowned restaurant guides, has awarded the Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl two spoons in recognition of the excellent quality of its produce, diverse preparation methods, wide range of drinks, excellent service and pleasant dining atmosphere.

Most of the dishes served at out four-star superior hotel are prepared using ingredients from Obergurgl, guaranteeing that our team of chefs has a selection of local produce of the highest quality. Add to that excellent service and a large wine cellar and you have the basic ingredients for why the Deutscher Schlemmeratlas decided to award us two spoons.
