The Ötzi Village is an outdoor archaeological museum where parents and children can discover how the local population lived during the Neolithic Period.
Based on the story of "Ötzi", the world-famous mummy from the 4th century BC found encased in ice on a high-alpine glacier between Austria and Italy, the museum re-tells the story of life in the Ötztal Valley many millennia ago. As the name of the mummy indicates, Ötzi's history is closely linked with that of the Ötztal Valley and its mountains.
The village includes recreations of huts, tools and weapons as well as old domestic animals breeds. Travelling time from the Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl to the Ötzi Village is only half an hour by car. And with the Ötztal Card you can save money on admission!
